I began my professional career in the late 1990s as a director at Friedrich Petzel gallery where I worked with such leading artists as Jorge Pardo, Richard Phillips, and Charlene von Heyl. I then moved on to be the Manager of the Bohen Foundation, overseeing large-scale installations by artists including Rachel Howard, Isaac Julian and Elmgreen & Dragset.
Moving to Paris in 2008 led me to work with Charles Riva, where I managed acquisitions and sales, and oversaw the launch of the Charles Riva Collection exhibition space in Brussels. Back in Paris I took on the role of special projects manager for American design with the high end design showroom Triode. Here I worked with top designers including Apparatus, Lindsey Adelman, Bec Brittain, & Gabriel Scott, organizing exhibitions and events.
Interested in the growing independent contemporary design scene in Europe and the United States, I launched The Vitrine in 2010, an online ecommerce website and platform for emerging and mid-career artists from around the world. For more than four years I discovered new designers and makers to feature in the shop, created all brand communication and content, and managed press relations. In addition, The Vitrine produced four pop-up shops in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and Paris.
With a passion for writing, (as well as ceramics and textiles), I have, since 2008, worked independently as an art, design, and lifestyle writer for magazines, creative agencies, brands and artists.
